So many great games have come out for Play Station 4 in recent years, that it’s very hard to make a list of the best games for PS4 without forgetting to put some good game on the list. Gamers’ tastes are different, some like the story of the game the most, some the graphics, some are most impressed by the gameplay of the game, so opinions will always be different, but this is my list of the Best 20 exclusives for Play Station 4, based on the overall impression while gaming (so far):
20. The Order 1886
The Order: 1886 is a third-person shooter that is primarily driven by the story and film depiction of the plot, and at no point does it pretend to be anything else. You won’t find RPG elements or a large open world here. The main focus is on the story of betrayal, rebellion and heroism, which in itself is not superb, but everything around the game is. The cutscenes are so well directed, animated and technically ironed that it’s hard to believe it’s all spinning in the engine.
The story of the game is set in an 1886 alternate history of London, the game follows the legendary Knights of the Round Table as they battle to keep the world safe from half-breeds, such as werewolves and vampires, as well as fringe organizations rebelling against the government.
19. Ratchet & Clank
Ratchet & Clank is a series of Play Station exclusive games, and this is a remake of the original title from Play Station 2. Ratchet & Clank is hard to describe just as a remake or remaster. Just as some elements from later Ratchet & Clank sequels have been inserted into the story, so has the gameplay expanded from the original. New planets have been introduced, and most of the old ones have been completely redesigned and are being explored in different ways.
The game take place in a science fiction setting and follow the adventures of Ratchet (a feline humanoid known as a Lombax, who is a mechanic) and Clank (a diminutive, sentient Zoni robot) as they travel through the universe, saving it from evil forces that consistently threaten it.
We have a sympathetically humorous story, variety in gameplay, fun weapons, and a visually appealing game. Already the original Ratchet & Clank was a great game in its time, and this modernized and updated reboot managed to return the series to the expected level of quality.
18. The Last Guardian
If you’ve ever played Ico and Shadow of the Colossus then The Last Guardian should automatically be recognizable to you. These are the works of the same designer who has a very refined and recognizable style. In the middle of the story is the relationship between the boy the player controls and the monster you’ve probably seen on the covers that look like a mix of rat, cat and bird or whatever. It’s Trico, a beast that could and should eat you instantly, but the boy and he find themselves in the same trouble and have to cooperate.
This mutual cooperation of the boy and the beast is the foundation and tool of the whole story, but also the basic gameplay mechanics on which the whole idea is based. With each obstacle overcome, the player in the role of a boy and AI in the role of a beast become close acquaintances.
17. Infamous Second Son
Infamous Second Son (stylized as inFAMOUS Second Son) is an action-adventure video game for PlayStation 4. It is the third installment in the Infamous series. The player-controlled protagonist possesses superpower abilities that players use in combat and when traveling across the city. If you don’t know, Delsin is the main star of Infamous: Second Son, the third sequel to the popular series that became famous for its good story and superhero fun gameplay on the PlayStation 3.
The story takes place in Seattle and focuses on Delsin Row, a young Indian rebel who is not on good terms with the law, despite the fact that his own brother Reggie is one of the “guardians of the law.” Delsin acquires new powers and becomes either good or evil as player choices influence his morality.
Delsin expresses his rebellion by drawing graffiti in places where such a thing is forbidden, and he constantly gets into trouble from which his closest ones pull him out, but one event will radically change his destiny.
16. God of War III Remastered
God of War III Remastered is an action-adventure game developed by Santa Monica Studio and published by Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) released for Play Station 4. The player controls the protagonist and former God of War Kratos, after his betrayal at the hands of his father Zeus, King of the Olympian gods. Kratos will finally arrive on the threshold of Olympus itself… How will it be conducted in the last clash with the remaining gods?
Unstoppably, on the back of Gaia, Mother Earth, Kratos advances towards Olympus thirsty for his revenge, which he will serve cold, as is to be understood. Zeus, the supreme god of Olympus, swallows pride and, seeing that there are no jokes, in an inspired speech calls on all the surviving gods – Poseidon, Helios, Hades and Hermes to put their quarrels aside and prepare for the last battle against the mad Spartan and his titan army.
The next five games in the list ( 15-11) will be here soon.
